I have always been an energetic person; I swam competitively from the age of 9 and also took up gymnastics
and competed in competitions. I started dancing at age 11 when I moved to senior school, I also started dance
lessons at the town hall with Swindon dance and joined the Swindon youth dance company which entailed
dancing routines at places such as Rambert ballet school and the millennium dome, this is when I realised that
this was the career I wanted. I left school with good grades one being GCSE Dance at A grade, I then auditioned
and was offered a place at Swindon dance on a 2 year dance foundation course (equivalent to A levels).
I trained in ballet, jazz and contemporary dance and graduated with good results. I then auditioned at various
dance schools and universities to study dance. I was offered a place at 3 universities and 3 dance schools; I was
then offered a scholarship at Bodyworks Dance studios in Cambridge to study for a national diploma in dance
through Trinity College. The training consisted of singing, and dance training in ballet, jazz, contemporary tap
and choreography. During my training I appeared in various shows and was employed at the Worthing theatre
in pantomime with Jon Altman (nasty nick from Eastenders). Since graduating I have had various dance contracts
on cruise lines such as Msc, Costa and Carnival where I have had the opportunity to see most of the world.
I have also danced at Casino Estoril in Portugal the largest Casino in Europe and at Casino La Perla and
Korona in Slovenia. This has given me the opportunity to work with choreographers and dancers from many
countries. I now want to move on to teaching dance as a way of keeping flexible and fit with the emphasis on
enjoyment.
