Founder and Director
Emily started pole dancing in October 2006, and set up Emily's Pole Fitness in April 2010. Since she started, she has trained with many of the top pole professionals all over the world. She did not go to dance school and in fact was very shy and insecure before pole dancing. Pole helped her to become much more confident, and made her the person she is today, which is why she teaches and set up her school. Because learning to pole dance helped her so much, she wanted to use it to help others become more confident and enjoy getting fit in a totally different way!
Emily teaches pole dance, aerial hoop, aerial silks, static trapeze and aerial pole classes. She is a qualified instructor with many years of teaching experience; she is also a first aider and is fully insured. Emily specialises in putting fun routines together, making things flow and making everything look pretty! She uses the word 'POSE!' a lot in her classes! If you ever need help with a performance piece, then Emily knows her stuff. Whether it's for a showcase or a competition, Emily can help.
She is very committed to her professional development, and is always gaining new qualifications to ensure that she stays up-to-date with best industry practice and can offer her students the very best instruction. Aside from her pole certifications, Emily's other qualifications to date include: Anatomy & Physiology for Pole and Aerial; Advanced Aerial Hoop; Certificate in Advanced Stretching; Foundation Level Silks / Fabric; Foundation Level Trapeze; Bespoke Rigging; Exercise to Music Level 2; and many others besides!
An experienced, versatile and unique performer with skills in a wide range of disciplines, Emily is available for any event. She can perform on pole, aerial pole, aerial hoop, aerial silks, trapeze, and also does stilt walking. She has a number of pre-choreographed routines and ready-made stilt walking costumes you can choose from, or she can put together a new routine or costume to suit your event – just choose your theme, song and what you'd like her to perform on, and she can do it! Leah describes herself as "an ordinary individual that's been given extraordinary skills and experiences courtesy of Emily's Pole Fitness". She has 2 children and works as a painter and decorator. Leah is a little crazy and loves nothing more than to laugh. Like most people, she didn't start pole with elegance and strength – these are qualities that she has developed and is always working on. Leah started pole at Emily's
Pole Fitness back in May 2010 and became an instructor in October 2012.
During Leah's time so far at Emily's Pole Fitness, she has been given the opportunity to try her hand at many skills, including trapeze, silks, aerial hoop, burlesque, booty shaking, handstands, and many more. Leah teaches pole dance and aerial hoop classes, she is a fully insured and qualified instructor and a first aider. Leah is Emily's doubles partner on aerial hoop and is full of crazy ideas and amazing tricks! She specialises
in technique and strength and is an amazing instructor. If you are stuck with a tricky hoop move, Leah is the one for you!
Pole and aerial hoop instructor
Azaria started aerial hoop at Emily's Pole Fitness in July 2013 with zero previous pole or aerial experience and no upper body strength – the fun, friendly and encouraging atmosphere had her hooked from lesson one! She took up pole the following month and soon got addicted to that too. She performed in her first show less than three months after her first class. Azaria has been dancing for almost as long as she could walk: her first ballet class was when she was three years old, and she started jazz and tap soon after that. She has gained lots of show and stage experience from her time at dance school.
The crazy ninja dynamic moves are Azaria's favourites on both pole and hoop, and there's not much she won't try at least once. Azaria teaches both pole and aerial hoop classes; her instructor training at Emily's started in September 2014, and she qualified to teach aerial hoop in January 2015 followed by pole in April 2015. She is a fully insured and qualified instructor, and a first aider. Azaria loves watching her students smash new moves as much as she loves getting them herself! Her personal favourite style of dance is lyrical contemporary, but Azaria can help you with choreography and dance elements within your own style, whatever that might be.
Eimer studied at the National Centre of Circus Arts in London for 1 year, where she trained in many different disciplines, including aerial straps, aerial hoop, trapeze, acrobatics, theatre, trampolining, rope (corde lisse), and a little bit of Chinese pole. She started dancing at Bobbi's Academy of Dance in Swindon when she was 14, doing classes in freestyle, lyrical, urban funk (commercial) and tumbling. While she was there she also helped to teach the tumbling class. Circus and pole is her passion; she is determined to succeed and enjoys a challenge!
Eimer has been coming to Emily's Pole Fitness since January 2013. She loves pole because it has helped her gain a lot of confidence, and it's a challenge – there's always that little bit further you can push yourself, which she finds very rewarding! Eimer started teaching in March 2015, and enjoys seeing her students gain confidence each week, just like she does. Eimer is a fully insured and qualified instructor, as well as a first aider. She has an awesome dance background and can help you choreograph dance elements into routines.

Mel is a full time mother of two absolutely gorgeous boys, who she thoroughly enjoys spending time with. She is just finishing her Dog Psychology and Behavioural Training Diploma Level 4, and has already completed the practical with 98% distinction pass with a view to becoming a Holistic Dog Behaviourist. Mel adores dogs, especially German Shepherds, and has always loved to dance since before she could walk. Amongst her favourite dance styles are Disco, Street, Ceroc, Zumba, Salsa and much more, and she thoroughly enjoys incorporating these into her pole and hoop routines.
Wanting to try something new in January 2013, Mel found Emily's Pole Fitness by chance and immediately felt so welcome, and was struck by the way everyone encouraged and supported each other. Emily inspired Mel with her beauty, grace and strength on the pole. She remembers thinking, 'I need to be able to do that!' Mel says that nothing came easy to her at the start; she spent weeks at open training, learning to climb the pole, then side climb and so on, mastering what she had been taught in lessons, and the sense of achievement was always euphoric.
In September 2014, she tried her first hoop lesson at Emily's, and thought it was incredible. She loves being in the hoop – it feels like home and she adores how strong it makes her in mind, body and soul. The best part of hoop for Mel is learning new tricks, choreographing routines, supporting other people to achieve moves, and generally being a bit of a hooligan.
Mel qualified to teach aerial hoop in June 2016, and currently teaches the beginner courses, as well as assisting Azaria in teaching the intermediate class.

Kelly is an ex-professional dancer, who after training locally went on to join the Royal Ballet at age 16. Then, after some 'not so exciting' years in finance, Kelly decided to return to what she is passionate about - physical forms of art and fitness.
Kelly is a certified Stott pilates instructor and has her own pilates school. She is known for her dynamic, equipment-based classes, her anatomical knowledge, and her vast experience in stretching and conditioning.
Kelly found Emily's Pole Fitness in 2011, craving some 'me time' after having her beautiful daughter, Scarlett. Initially training just in pole, Kelly was then introduced to aerials in 2013 and soon became hooked. Kelly has competed successful in international competitions. She trains and teaches aerial hoop, aerial silks, and static trapeze.
Kelly is passionate about the aerial arts, as they combine all the aspects she loves; flexibility, strength, grace, dance and performance. The perfect way to condition your body and learn new skills whilst having fun!
Kelly hopes to inspire a new generation of aerial artists as part of the Emily's Pole Fitness gang!
